Gennadi Beach runs along Rhodes’ south-east coast in a broad ribbon of coarse sand and smooth pebbles. The atmosphere is wide, open and relaxed, with clear water, an uninterrupted horizon and the nearby village making it easy to stay for the whole day.
In the water
The water is notably clear but becomes relatively deep. Keep a closer watch on young or less confident swimmers.
Shade & facilities
Sunbeds and parasols are limited to a few organised sections. Bring shade and water when choosing a quieter stretch.
Food & village
Gennadi village sits just inland with cafés, shops and tavernas, while several restaurants can also be found near the beach.
