One landscape, two very different shores.

Prasonisi sits at the island’s southern edge, where a broad ribbon of fine sand reaches towards the islet. The atmosphere is elemental and open: the eastern side is often calmer, while wind and waves bring energy to the western shore.

Sandbar & water level

Fine sand and shallow water shape the approach to the islet. The connection changes with water level and weather, so never assume the crossing will stay dry.

East & west

The eastern side is generally more sheltered and suited to easy bathing. The western side is windier and carries stronger surf.

Surf zones

Surf schools and rental centres operate near the beach. Swimmers should stay clear of launch areas and follow current local zoning.

Food & facilities

Sunbeds and parasols are found on parts of the eastern beach. Parking, cafés, restaurants and a small market are close by.
